How To Beat the Dental Crown Problem Updated for 2021
Updated: October 21, 2021
I love dentists. I love how they take care of you. The gentleness when they’re injecting that syringe into your third molar, the sparkling eyes that they show as they are pulling your tooth out, and the manner of gentleness with the way they hold you down during a root canal.
Don’t you just love those fond memories of your dentist as you were growing up?
Fear of All Ages
If you’re not grinding your teeth and shivering right now as you reminisce those appointments with your dentist, then you are one of the lucky ones. I remember being dragged by my dad just to go in “the room”; I didn’t care if everyone was looking at me like I was going to die. I didn’t want to die!!!
Nobody wants to go to the dentist. It doesn’t matter if you can’t sleep for many nights because of toothaches, it doesn’t matter if you are having migraines every single day because of the cavities that are seemingly attacking your central nervous system; you are not going to the dentist.
It doesn’t matter if it’s free, it doesn’t matter if a very cheap dental crown cost is available, these will not encourage you to get your teeth fixed, I can guarantee that.
Now if you’re one of the fortunate ones who has gotten a dental crown, let me tell you, you should really be grateful. Dental crown cost is not as high as most think but I will say no matter what the cost it’s worth it.
Imagine yourself in a party and the food is amazing. You stuff your mouth full and then all of a sudden, a nerve is hit by one of the chicken wings served. A shout fills the room and everyone is quiet. Goodbye social life.
That was a little extreme, I admit, but something similar could potentially happen, I’m telling. How can I be so sure? Because it has happened to poor old me. Although I was much younger and was in a smaller party (a kiddie party to be more precise), the embarrassment is quite similar.
Can somebody please explain to me why the heck we need to have dental work done? Strictly speaking, you don’t NEED to get a dental crown. I mean it’s not like it’s a matter of life and death, right?
Why can’t I just let the cavities spread to every part of my mouth, destroying all my good teeth and eventually causing other health issues? You can’t force me.
I exaggerated that a bit to show you how critical it is to have a regular dental checkup, at the very minimum, once a year. And going to the dentist doesn’t have to be a struggle every time. If we take care of our mouth and our teeth, in particular, not only will you spend less on the visits, the dentist will even appreciate that.
